How we judge a price
- Usual price is what the product sold for most of the 90 days before its current price. It’s weighted by time, so a brief spike or a penny wobble doesn’t move it.
- Genuine low means at least 2% below anything it cost in those 90 days and at least 10% under its usual price. Matches its low means it’s back within 2% of that low.
- Cheaper than usual means 10% or more under its usual price, but it’s been lower recently, so you may be able to wait.
- Raised, then “cut” means the latest change was a cut, but from a price 10% to 75% above usual, landing back at about the usual price.
- Check carefully means more than 60% below its usual price. Real cuts that big are rare and feed prices are sometimes wrong, so we don’t feature them. For the same reason, the lists above stop at 50% off.
Prices come from the product feeds retailers publish through affiliate networks, recorded whenever they change (every one to three days) since June 2026. We can’t see in-store, app-only or member prices, and big names such as Argos, Currys and Amazon aren’t in our feeds yet. Always check the final price at the retailer.

How can I tell if a Black Friday deal is real?
Ignore the 'was' price and the percentage on the banner, and compare today's price with what the product actually sold for over the last few months. A genuine deal is lower than anything it cost recently. Search for a product above and we'll show its recent price history and our verdict.
What does "raised, then cut" mean?
The price went up, then came back down to about where it usually sits. A retailer can then show the raised price as the 'was' price, so the cut looks bigger than it is. We flag a cut when it comes from a price 10% to 75% above the product's usual price and lands back near the usual price.
Where do your prices come from?
From the product feeds retailers publish through affiliate networks. We record each product's price whenever it changes, every one to three days, and have been doing so since June 2026. We can't see in-store, app-only or member prices, so always check the final price at the retailer before you buy.
Why can't I find a product?
We can only judge retailers whose product feeds we import, which is mostly mid-sized UK stores so far. Big names such as Argos, Currys and Amazon aren't covered yet.
